About

Dirty Real Prints (the site) is operated by Nicholas S. Thompson, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By using the site or purchasing from it, you agree to these terms.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation by email. All prices are in GBP. Where VAT applies it is included in the price shown. Prices may change without notice, but the price at the point of order confirmation stands.

Each print is produced to order. Physical prints are typically dispatched within 2 to 5 working days. A3 hand-finished prints are individually worked on and may take 4 to 7 working days. No two hand-finished prints are identical; variation is the point, not a defect.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping rates and services are shown at checkout. We post from the UK. UK orders travel by standard post; international orders travel by tracked services. Transit times shown at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery.

Returns and refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt to cancel your order for a refund. You must return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, at your own cost, in saleable condition. We will refund the original price and standard shipping once the return is received.

Digital downloads are exempt from the right to cancel once the download has been accessed. If you haven't downloaded the file, we will issue a refund on request.

If your print arrives damaged, email nick@dirtyrealprints.com with a photograph within 14 days of delivery and we'll replace or refund.

The queue

Every order includes one call: you may tell us what to draw next via the queue page. Requests are honoured in the order they arrive. We commit to no timeframe of any kind for drawing, listing, or completing a request, and a request does not entitle you to the resulting artwork, a discount, or any other benefit. The queue is a goodwill feature of the shop, not a commissioned work or a purchased service.

We may decline or reinterpret requests that are unlawful, hateful, or that we simply don't want to draw. If we decline your request outright, you may submit a different one against the same order.

Your drawings and marks

The site lets you draw on the wall, submit ideas with drawings, and deface pages. By submitting any of this you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, adapt, and reproduce it, including turning it into artwork or promotional material. Don't include personal information in anything you submit; submissions are public and are not linked to your identity.

We may remove any submission at any time without notice or reason. Do not submit anything unlawful, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Digital downloads

Digital files are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may print the file for your own use. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the artwork commercially without written permission.

Intellectual property

All artwork, text, and images on this site are copyright Nicholas S. Thompson unless otherwise stated. Purchase of a print does not transfer any reproduction rights.

Some works reference public figures or cultural subjects under fair dealing for the purposes of artistic expression and satire. All trademarks referenced remain the property of their respective owners.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site: no automated scraping, no attempt to breach security, no use of the site for unlawful purposes.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of the site or any order is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
